Private Use & Competency

Private Use Firearm Training

OUR COURSES CARRY FULL ACCREDITATION FROM THE SOUTH AFRICAN PROFESSIONAL FIREARM TRAINERS COUNCIL AND SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE SERVICES

In order for a person to apply for a Competency Certificate and/or Firearm Licence in regards to the current regulations, the SAPS requires that the candidate must first undergo accredited firearm training.

New candidates are required to complete U/S 117705 (Legal Test) in addition to the modules for any firearms you wish to apply for.

If you intend on training to use a firearm for business purposes, (Armed Response / Security Guard, for example), you are required to complete the relevant Private Use training, before you can undergo training for business purposes.

STEP BY STEP

1. Pay for your course and receive your training manuals.

2. Complete ALL the questions in your training manuals.

3. Once you have completed the questions, contact us to find out when our next class is available and schedule your training.

Training is generally conducted over 2 consecutive full days during the week, with both a practical and theory component.
